The Trade Training Centre at St Augustine's College was developed to support the VCAL programs of the College as well as the programs at a number of other local Colleges. 

 

With a focus on woodwork, electrotechnology and metalwork, the learning spaces were designed using robust materials in an open plan format that encouraged the students to learn collaboratively in an environment that is easy for staff to supervise and support students within. 

 

The design of the building was inspired by an Italian Futurist artwork by Giorgio de Chirico displayed in the College Principal's office, and the bright white colour of the cladding with its high solar reflectivity assists the passive cooling of the internal spaces.
