Sacred Heart Primary School Arts Precinct

b3architects second project at Sacred Heart Primary School in Tatura is the new arts precinct.

Upon entering, a ramped gallery takes students past displays of their art into another realm. The visual art space is flooded with south facing daylight and an outdoor area for clay with a kiln augments the students creativity.

Next door a flexible studio for music and performing arts features a stage / sitting area and a foldback mirror wall complimented by an acoustic timber slatted ceiling. Band practice and tuition rooms adjoin the studio space.

A language room and flexible learning area are accessed from a newly formed north courtyard. New toilets accessible from the verandah serve the east side of the campus. 50kW of solar PV cells almost cover the roof of the new centre.

b3architects worked with Siren Design, Cortese Consultants, Connex and Bridget Doyle Landscape Design to deliver an important addition to the Tatura campus of Sacred Heart Primary School.
