Phillip Island House was designed as an extended family home. The intent was to create a home that felt comfortable and well sized for use by a couple during the week, but that was also suitable for their children & grandchildren to visit for extended periods. 

The house takes advantage of a long block with the insertion of a large central courtyard maximising access to Eastern & Northern sun. 

Living areas face North and are easily opened up to the courtyard, creating a living space that feels expansive but also private.
